Portfolio Reviews

From concepts to captions, get your images ready for publication

Great images don’t matter if the story they tell never reaches audiences. Working as an editor, writer and photographer I’ve been on both sides of the publishing equation. In portfolio reviews, I provide constructive critique for both your photography and your storyline. Together, we work on strategies to improve not only your images but your presentations as well. Effective pitches and compelling captions can make the difference in communicating your story successfully and getting your photography seen by the world.

Project Consultation

Watch your passion project flourish with increased creativity and organization

A successful photography project, especially a long term one, requires dedicated work far beyond the shoot itself. In addition to photography, you need to flex your skills in organization, time management, smart editing, and effective writing.

In our consultation sessions, we work together on both your images and the project skills to submit a successful portfolio to publications. We’ll go over strategies for capturing exceptional images -- from concept to storyboarding to hashing out the technical aspects of getting your ideal shot. In addition to enhancing your photography skills, we focus on goal-setting, prioritization, breaking down large pieces of your project into manageable tasks, and writing eye-catching titles and memorable captions to improve the reach and maximize the impact of your images.

If you are interested in wildlife, nature and conservation photography and would like guidance on crafting an exceptional project portfolio, I would love to hear from you.

  • Honing your project concept into a clear vision
